The Cloud or cloud computing is essentially the delivery of on-demand computing services via the internet, supplied through a cloud provider on a pay-as-you-go basis. There are three different kinds of services, from IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service), PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service), and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), but what do they all do?
IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service)
IaaS is the essential building blocks for computing that can be rented, such as physical or virtual servers, networking and storage.
PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service)
This includes the necessary tools and software needed to build applications on servers, networks and storage platforms, such as operating systems and databases.
SaaS (Software-as-a-Service)
This is the most common service, which works on delivering cloud-based applications to the end-user via the internet.
As well as the different services, you can acquire various types of cloud: public, private or hybrid.
Public
The public cloud is a cloud computing model enabling users to rapidly scale their services with vast amounts of capacity. Public cloud providers are Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Private
The private cloud is located closer to the user and offers greater security benefits for those who need their data more secure. We can supply hybrid cloud services to customers who require more security.
Hybrid
The hybrid cloud is a combination of the two and offers benefits of both. However, it can be more complex, but with the right team behind you, operating the hybrid cloud can be seamless.
